And so the adventure continues through Quebec...
Left Champlane on Saturday and biked about 55km toward Ponteuf, which is about 60km west of Quebec City, which should be really neat. Should arrive there sunday weather permitting.
I have to say this is one of the most incredible, adventure type vacations that I've been on. Long ride today that covered 5 hrs but I was towing about 150 lbs. in the makeshift trailer
We rode for 45mins and stop and catch a break. Then trek on Really neat.
Started off with laura pulling alex, me pulling the trailer, the 11 year old Colby and Greg. He got an easy ride riding my bike. Very light !!!
However after the first 25km, the day started with some excitement. I realized lost my wedding ring. Big problem. I remembered I took it off to apply sunscreen and put it at my feet in the freshly cut grass at the camp site. Bad move !!! Lana said "hey I'll go back and if its there, I'll find it."
(3) hours later she came back honking the horn in our car so PROUD !! Don't know how the woman found it but she did !! Never lost it (8) yrs but somehow did. Thank god !!!
As we were finished uo the ride up, we took a left to "cruise into the camp site"...rode about 55km and were hot and tired, I look up to a devastating 1/2 mile climb that would be grueling without all the gear. Needless to say some interesting words were spoken. Tough but we made it up.
Cooking breakfast now and off to Quebec city. About 60km today and with stops and tugging kids & gear, it'll take us 4 or so hours.
Should be fun...
Until then-
